Los Angeles County Health Insurance Expert Steven Driss Available to Discuss Crucial Decisions Facing Business Owners While Transitioning to ObamaCare

Tarzana, CA, January 16, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The countdown to comply with the new mandates of the Affordable Care Act (ObamaCare) has officially begun. As a result, thousands of business owners in Los Angeles County will have to decide whether they will continue to sponsor a health care plan, begin to offer a health care plan, or whether they will drop an existing policy, leaving the responsibility of health insurance coverage to employees.

According to Steven Driss, President of Lifeline Employee Benefits, a full-service insurance brokerage firm established in 1985, “The decisions facing business owners in regards to transitioning to ObamaCare are not to be taken without a clear understanding of the requirements of the new laws. These are not decisions to be made hastily, nor should business owners procrastinate in beginning the transitional process. There are substantial tax implications to consider, and there are penalties that need to be avoided. Business owners must consider all of these aspects when determining what types of health insurance options they will choose to provide before ObamaCare goes into effect in 2014.”

Since the bill was signed into effect, Driss has already set the wheels in motion for countless business owners to ensure that they are in full compliance with the new laws, ahead of deadline. “It is my responsibility to reach out to business owners and remind them that big changes are coming. We can't pretend that this new mandate isn't going to happen. Business owners need to dedicate the time now to understand their responsibilities, in effort to have the most seamless transition to ObamaCare possible.”
